How PEAK handles your data. Plain language, no surprises.
The short version
PEAK builds an adventure plan for you. You can use it without an account: your plan lives in your own browser, on your own device. If you choose to save it, we store it in our database so you can open it anywhere.
We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and we only share data with the services listed below when they are needed to make the product work.
What we store on your device
If you never create an account, everything stays with you: your plan, your preferred language, light or dark mode, and whether you have already seen the guided tour. This is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
Clearing your browser data for this site erases all of it. No copy exists on our servers unless you press “Save plan”.
Your account
Saving a plan requires an account. You can create one with Google, with your email (we send you a one-time code, no passwords), or by connecting Strava. We store the email address or basic profile your provider returns, and the plans you save.
A saved plan can include your athlete profile (experience, goals, health notes you write), your gear list, your budget and your training calendar. Only you can read it: access is restricted to your account.
Strava
If you connect Strava, PEAK reads your Strava profile (name and profile photo) and your activities from the last 30 days. We use them to understand your current fitness and adjust your training and health plan. Strava's permission screen shows exactly what you approve before you connect.
We keep the connection tokens needed to sync with Strava on our servers. They are used only to read the data described above. You can revoke access at any time from your Strava settings (Settings → Applications → PEAK), and we stop receiving data immediately.
Google Calendar
Only if you choose to send events to your calendar, PEAK asks for permission to add events to your Google Calendar. We use that permission solely to create the events you request. You can disconnect it at any time from your Google account permissions page.
AI processing
To generate your plan, answer the coach and analyze your Strava activities, the relevant text (your description of the adventure, your profile, your activity summaries) is processed by AI models operated by our infrastructure provider. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Maps and race locations
When you enter a place or race name, we send that text to a mapping service (Mapbox) to find its location, route and elevation. Only the place or route text you type is sent, nothing else about you.
Gear links and affiliate commissions
Gear recommendations include links to search Amazon for the item. These are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click one, Amazon's own privacy policy applies. We never receive your payment details.
Errors and technical logs
When something fails in the app, we collect the technical error details (what broke and where) so we can fix it. These logs are not used to profile you and are not combined with advertising data.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not show third-party advertising or tracking pixels. We do not share your health, training or location data with anyone except the services listed above, strictly to run the features you use.
Deleting your data
Your unsaved plan: clear your browser data for this site, or start a new plan — the old one stays only on your device.
Your saved plans and account: contact us and we will delete your account, plans, Strava connection and all related data. Disconnecting Strava from your Strava settings immediately stops the sync and we delete the stored tokens.
